@arsenic. Cheers mate
Thanks for the kind words , I’m really just a hack , but have been around the traps for quite a while .
I,m actually newly retired , so no impediment on what I can speculate on now.
There is much to digest in the TCG story, and almost all of it is good.
My sense is that we are only at the beginning and that there will be satellite deposit after deposit found here . At the moment it is Asupiri, but next is Begnopan, with many more highly promising targets to drill and characterise.
of these , Woulo Woulo is a conventional deposit with lower grade bulk tonnage and reasonable size, and the others I would describe as semi- refractory , with better grade and smaller tonnage. Likely with more to come.
The results obtained for the “ refractory “ ores using a float concentrate and UFG are excellent , both in terms of mass to concentrate, grade , and final recovery. Given the relatively small tonnages of concentrate produced, I don’t expect reagent usage overall to be an issue, and only minor quantities of deleterious elements ( As, Cu, Fe) present , so cyanidation conditions should not be negatively affected. I have some experience with Isamill and with Vertimills for UFG,( at Phubia in Laos and Ok Tedi) and the operation and maintenance of both are quite well understood now , as is their reliability.
the issue of Preg-robbing appears to have been addressed also, with only minor amounts of carbon present.
Much more testwork needed and to come.
as luck would have it , the Consulting Metallurgist who reviewed the metallurgy to date , Stu Smith , is someone I know and greatly respect. Stu used to be the Principal Metallurgist for Ausenco and we have worked on a number of projects ( particularly Chatree mine in Thailand). Stu has forgotten more than I ever knew. He is an highly accomplished metallurgist and TCG would do well to keep him on in an oversight capacity.
i look forward to the next , imminent, MRE
Whilst too early yet for a process flow sheet in detail ( and dependent on the whole ore body size and ore characteristics) it looks as if WW will be the bread and butter feeding a conventional CIL plant, with the smaller refractory orebodies either feeding an add -on float/ UFG section, and sharing a common CIL/ Elution / Gold Room, or , If enough refractory ore found, possibly even a separate refractory plant, side by side with the CIL.
They could share common utilities such as water, air, reagents, and share elution and gold room , and tailings lines.
As the concentrate grades are much higher in the refractory circuit , and ditto the solution tenors and carbon loadings are also going to be elevated , so might? Be better to keep the 2 flow streams separate till the carbon elution stage .
Too early to say yet, so I won’t speculate further
ive been buying TCG recently , as even at low 40 s I think they are very good value.
Its pretty exciting ATM , and given that TCG could end up well north of 5 Million ounces in a couple more years, I’m expecting a lot more Upside in the share price.
For the next MRE, suspect we will see an increase of , conservatively, 0.5 to 0.75 million ounces .
or an increase from the current 2.5 million to between 3.0 to 3.25 million.
And a further MRE in six months after that.
Fingers crossed.
