This will always have been IMU's plan. When they came across Azer-Cel the only option available to them would have been to buy both it and the manufacturing facility, and they didn't want to miss out on Azer-Cel.
I have no doubt that they've been looking for a buyer for the manufacturing facility (and its staff) since then and have now succeeded. Now they can concentrate 100% of company funds and management focus on the main game of creating blockbuster therapies for cancer treatment.
