It is all about securing the CAR-T cells for the trials at this stage. The next problem would be how to secure the cells should Azer-Cel become an approved treatment as multiples of the current production would be needed. If IMU is clever they will sell Azer-Cel and leave that problem to the buyer / partner who might have their own facility.

The cost reduction is significant while they ( hopefully ) still have access to their cells. But I guess LC will have that sorted.

A few times I wrote about some PH-decisions that made no sense at all at that time " I hope one day we can say - Ah, that's why! " Today is one of those days as it now makes sense that CHM has secured its own cells independent of IMU. A shared facility would have made sense for both in September '23 but both LC and CHM's JC told me that won't happen - now we know why. If all the other Hopper decisions will make sense in the LT then I owe him a big apology.
