It's actually standard practice for listed companies to offer retail investors SPP terms equal or slightly better than sophisticated investors to attract participation and support.
IMO, the negative narrative being spilled on HC concerning IMU, focus on the bad SPP terms rather than the actual acquisition and company making transaction could be the work of a number of posters with ulterior motives.
