Hi Dalts 66. Like your post but I think you have overcomplicated the Naive concept. In a clinical setting someone is considered Naive if they haven’t had a particular treatment. They are considered resistant if they have had a treatment and the tumour has become immune to that particular type of treatment. So you actually described immunotherapy naive patients fairly well in the first part of your post.

In General when treatments first come out they are often only used after all other treatments have failed as the chance of doing harm is smaller than if you put it in front of the other options. They may then move forward in the pecking order.

The fact that they are using it earlier in the treatment paradigm for the trial means they feel it may be safe and effective and able to be used clinically in front of some of the other available treatment options. Its a good sign in my opinion.
