Yeah I agree with that aspect, but its all a gamble really, its a binary outcome with clinical trials, as we saw in PER yesterday, topline results come back negative and the company gets valued back to zero, under zero in fact, they got more cash than their market cap, which can happen to any biotech as people realise they got no asset and the money left is just paying management. IMU valued at 290 million, with only 2 quarters of cash left. Its scary, still a lot of room to fall to get to cash backing.
The idea would be to find the biotech with upcoming clinical results that you are relatively confident in the science. Then get in and it really is a coin flip. One thing though to learn, like with PER yesterday is that there are some clues in price action before release
Average daily volume pre-halt was 2.3 million shares. Yet, suddenly, in the two days before the halt, volume surged to 3-4 times that. Coincidence? Doubtful. And the day before the halt—on zero news—it’s the third-highest volume day of the year.
Let’s connect the dots: massive dumping, no news, then bad news. If this doesn’t scream insider whispers, I don’t know what does.
When are results expected with IMU? I would watch very closely around this time if I had a big holding.
