PSA test on a regular basis. Went from regular 3-4 to 6 in a hurry, then biopsy, then yes sunshine you have prostate cancer.
Don't take the first advice, there a few good options your GP may not know about.
The GP I used had either did not know about targetted radiation or his mates were more profitable.
Either way I went my own way and got lucky. I found the large public hospital was key to success and honesty, and cost.
