True, but i'd differ on the 'reverse-engineering' bit ... complexity does not protect against it ... in fact it makes it easier. Witness the plethora of 'designer drugs' ... substance A is made illegal so a chemist makes a functionally equivalent substance B ... different at a molecular level only.
A lumbering expensive legal process will always lag behind a tiny cheap pharma or engineering change. Sure, as an ASx-listed company IMU will be forced to go through the motions of protecting it's IP in countries where IP is respected enough to police itself ... for example Oz, Japan, Europe, US and Canada ... but i hope too much effort does not go into trying to nail down the whole world.
