With everyone wanting updates…. something I think people might have overlooked with this announcement is the unsaid update it brings on how the OASIS trial is progressing.

Tell me onCARlytics is causing CD19 expression in solid tumour cells without telling?
IMU: “We’re moving the OASIS trial into the combination phase with Blincyto.”

Everyone invested in IMU should have a bit of an understanding how the drugs work but I’ll spell it out for anyone that doesn’t. Blincyto will not work against tumours that don’t express CD19 and solid tumours do not naturally express CD19.

Given the strong ethics involved in running clinical trials, the clinical trials doctors would not treat patients with a drug they know would not work, it can therefore be extrapolated that onCARlytics is in actual fact causing solid tumours to express CD19. Very exciting and the first box ticked.

Now we all wait to see if Blincyto can kill CD19 expressing solid tumours the same as it kills liquid tumours.
