Not sure if I'm reading this right, and I stand ready to be corrected, but I think Peer Review means the data is checked by peers for validity before its presented anywhere. After it's checked it can be presented anywhere.
If they have new data and it's been verified by peers, this would be the perfect place to present it because this is where the money is. It seems to me that these are the people we want to impress most because they are the ones we want to deal with.
