I assume this acquisition was made with double purpose. Take on a drug that is more advanced that they see great potential in and spend some cash now, but with potential of greater returns in time. If they can successfully complete a phase 2 trial and then again on sell this to big pharma in a short amount of time it might actually prevent another CR.

The second reason is maybe they want to use the science to help delivery of one of our own drugs for targeting brain cancer?
