I don't think it's anything to worry about.
When you think about it, MEL has "sold" 40 million shares (or was it 20 million) and XXXX number of buyers (MEL shareholders ) have bought them.
I would imagine it's all done by computer disk somehow. They have to reconcile all of the "trades" and then post them to individual shareholders accounts in Boardroom.
Then Commsec have to do their part.
All in the middle of holidays and limited staff, etc, etc.
