That's a laugh - noses in the trough is hardly the situation. It's not like MEL are a company with no prospects. Free carried well, great Perth Basin prospect, and another Cooper asset to farm out...
When was the last time that MAY drilled anything outside of that NZ well? You can keep your 20% COS Hail Mary. Not to mention the Cuban leases....how you can apply for an extension after the fact, have not heard anything in 6 months and still claim that you hold an asset is beyond me.
Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.
