I was just looking at the diagrams in the announcement. PYC's CPPs are joined to an antigen from HSV which trigger or stimulate the creation of cytotoxic CD8+ T-cells once delivered into the cytoplasm i.e., across the cell membrane of the dendritic cells. The CPP antigen not only stimulates a CD8 response, but also a CD4 response because what is happening is that the dendritic cell is processing the antigen through the MHC I & MHC II pathway. It then goes into the endosome (early) then escapes it (late) to stimulate the production of the CD8 t-cells. Impressive. So what differentiates PYC's technology from others that are on the market? That's not difficult to answer, BUT, proof will come down to the head to head product comparison in the first quarter of next year. So far, this is looking encouraging and fingers crossed, promising.
