Everyone should be able to exercise their options despite the trading platform.
Just need to follow your brokers' guidelines in advance of the expiry.
I used to be with Interactive and I needed to submit a "Corporate Action" Request and have the money already in the Account.
It's then up to them to contact the Registry and have them exercised for you. IMO
