Go and look at a company called Atomera, they deal with all the Semi's and have been trying for over 6 years to get their tech adopted but the reality is that there are so many different options available to companies getting anything new adopted is incrediibly hard.

So unless you have a very major advantage for their particular use case it does not get adopted. Their tech has the effect of reducing power consumption by 25% or alternately allowing 25% circuitry for the same size.

Semi's prefer their own tech whoever possible or an additive tech that allows them to keep control over the tech and provide more lock in for them.

Weebit's strategy of using Skywater has been a disaster for them and set them back years.
