Having driven through this area years ago (1992) I was taken at how many oil rigs were in the region, and gas projects.
It only goes to show that coal was waiting to be discovered there at some stage. I am a GBG (Gindalbie Metals) shareholder and I know they need quantities of power in the near future.
Also being right near the grid it would be easy to sell power into that. I also like the idea of clean mining by gas liquification, which would leave small holes in the land instead of ugly open pits. So if this project can come on line in 14 months it would really help this region progress...IMO.
