Thanks Southern. I played with some scenarios. Your scenario re the T+2 makes it plausible. That is, the seller's vote still counts, so he knows the outcome, so sells. And the buyer knows the seller and therefore knows the outcome, so he buys confidently. So buyer and seller know each other AND they know each others' tax position AND they are sure of the outcome.

Also, AFTER the 5 mill mates trade, the buyer was happy to buy from any other sellers on market. Interesting.
