Lepidolite is a mica. Lepidolite is an ore of lithium. The lithium content in lepidolite can vary greatly however and low lithium lepidolite is useless as an ore of lithium.
Some people I have spoken to are not keen on deposits with lithium micas as can be more costly to extract the lithium content at the plant level. Spodumene is king! IMO.
