I think you are 100% on the money here mate.
The term 'Global' is used to simply justify the connections between the Asian (service centres) and the Australian customers (FP business). IAM has enough on its plate dealing with the Australian regulatory changes and currently has a very low market share. It would take a decade for IAM to complete its Australian strategy as changes in the FP space is slow with many old dinosaurs still making up a high percentage of the adviser numbers.
