To be honest, my first thoughts were that the role of Head of Global Partnerships should just be one of many roles of Mark Fisher in his capacity as CEO.

But it looks as though the swell in demand for IAM products and services warrants a full time business development executive (and team to come). This leaves MF to focus heavily on getting operations right from the start. Looks like they are getting as much interest as they say, much more and much faster than i originally thought they would.

You will see this pattern often with startups, where the founder/ceo/managing director undertakes so many roles, but as they grow to critical points, important roles are spun out into new full-time positions. Given this, i take today's appointment as a strong and significant sign of major expansion for IAM. Good times ahead for shareholders.
