most definitely still here and will be until either its business ultimately fails or succeeds.. but what has been happening recently has a take-over written all over it, but predicting when it will happen is anybody's guess. So here is mine.

Fluence is at a stage where its technology has caught the eye of some industry players that can see the potential value the larger players will be willing to pay to claim it their own, but are also well aware at what pace the water industry moves... so its still 'very early days' in their eyes, but to get to where fluence has with MABR is not an easy feat, so it now needs to be 'groomed' for sale, and that is exactly what those who have recently joined are good at doing... and they know exactly what the prize is if MABR does succeed in the years to come. And IMO it will be a at least a 2-3 years away before the business will be in a state where it will be a target & at a valuation that Ronald Lauder & Richard will be happy to offload.

In terms of the placement, its neither here nor there in terms of size.. but it does provide a bit of buffer given the large swings in cash balance... what is more interesting is that very strong buy-in from Doug (US$1.9m), who is probably looking to make 50X on that judging by his ability to offload businesses at $1bn+.
