I might've misunderstood Ash and apologies if so, but I have no idea why you'd want to get in to the QLD market.

Youngest coal generators in the fleet, most solar (existing AND under construction) in the NEM, somethings gotta give. Have you been watching the market recently? Daytime in QLD is very ugly.

The coalies can wear the mid term pain, i.e. bid very low daytime prices (but claw some back in the evenings and opt which the solar can't), keep pushing the DI and TI daily 7am-5pm prices below zero, and all of a sudden these solar farms can't meet their debt facility requirements... classic reaction of established market participants to new entry shock.

Why would you want any form of generation in QLD, other than maybe a 100% QLD Govt PPA price from Forsayth so you are guaranteed returns that meet your facility requirements? NO spot exposure and NO $0/floor in your contracts.

Its a losers market there IMHO...
