Interesting to get a feel for a starter pit on the East Limb. [There is a hint for the hinge or west limb starter pit showing up on section 6574050N which may be expanded in the next announcement.]

The diamonds (red (East limb starter pit north end, and purple (hinge?)) represent the margins of starter pits on this section. Other sections in this announcement give similar information for the East Limb but not the ?hinge starter pit. Transposing these marginal point to plan view in Google Earth gives this approximate shape (+-20m?).

Indicated to probable (some measured?) within the pit shell for the East Starter Pit at this pit density.

The overburden/barren weathered material is a relatively constant thickness at some 40-50m which will represent a moderate amount of stripping after which the majority (all?) will be in mineralisation to a depth of around 100m.

What is the significance of this starter pit? Getting ready to start mining at an earlier stage? Go modular? Small and then bolt on as cash flow comes in or a white knight appears? Still would need considerable capital to build and operate.

How much in this starter pit? Very roughly: Volume ~~~750*300*70m at an SG of ~2.5 (+?) gives some 40Mt grading 0.3%+? as what is likely to be a high estimate.

I did attend a meeting during the week. Porphyry Cu play where they said we don't have to consider <0.4% Cu at the moment. The 0.1-0.3 halo is there but not to material in the early assessment. Perhaps why there isn't an obvious white knight for CVV at the moment. Hopefully the PFS will spark some interest when it comes out.

    The late granite and mineralisation?

From memory there were some anomalous Cu hits in 2013 aircore holes to the west that have not been followed up. Nothing major but in light of the intersections in what is shown as granite maybe worth adding to low priority follow up targets. The trend lines seem to suggest the geology may not be accurate on this section.
