S32 also just picked up a 45% stake in the Sieraa Gorda Copper Mine in Chile for US1.55B (AUD$2.08B), so AUD$4.62B on a 100% basis. The Project has ~1.70Bt of 0.40% Cu, 0.06g/t Au and 0.02% Mo for ~6.71Mt of copper and sundry gold/moly, and has a mine life of over 20 years. So ~AUD$688/tonne of Cu in-ground, with an operating mine.
SFR also just picked up a 100% stake in the Matsa Copper Mine in Spain for US$1.86B (AUD$2.51B). The Project has ~122Mt of 3.2% of Cu Equil for ~3.9Mt of copper, and has a mine life of ~years years. So ~AUD$643/tonne of Cu in-ground, with an operating mine.
The majors are snapping up copper projects to get involved in the 'green' revolution. Little CVV has a serious growing asset, which will command a high price in the years ahead!
