I have a feeling we are both right.
For convenience a lot may have been developed and ran on hardware owned by IOU, with software licensed to IOU, because they arrogantly expected to be able to take it all with them. Liquidating the company, well, this other company will buy our hardware >_< pay no attention to the names of the company secretaries!
I've said this a lot, no one will get investors onboard to develop software as it costs a ton and there's no guarantee of a return, BNPL though? Lucrative.
