AI is now at a point in this industry - that on many diagnosis, the AI is more accurate in detection of abnormalities than the Drs
The movement to AI for diagnosis in MT also lends itself highly to increasing scale of business... you need the sonographers and radiographers to operate the machines... but in combination with AI... the quantity of Radiologists required will not have to increase at same ratio as it currently stands... IMO current level of DRs could cover the workload of 3-4 times the number of clinics with AI assistance.
The industry has been consolidating since the early 00's... but it is still sufficiently fragmented to easily allow acquisition of established clinics over development of new sites in areas of competition (higher population density areas)
Leverage at 30% isn't too bad and with controlling ownership - should be able to divert a modest level of cash back to IFT to allow pay down to occur from the get go.
