I found this in the latest annual report, page 19, last paragraph.
"We have looked at share buybacks and special dividends. The former is always an option when a gap opens between the intrinsic value of the shares and the market value. We doubt special dividends are the best use of funds." ~ Jason Boyes
Maybe that's how they'll promote the real value of Infratil, a share buy-back? They have the funds. I thought the takeover offer would have provided a much needed boost to investor interest, thereby increasing liquidity. Failing that, I thought the whole "green revolution" would have done the same. Judging from the volume, it's only slightly up compared to before AusSuper's takeover offer.
I don't know what it'll take to get this company accurately valued. I mean it's nice to accumulate on the low, but there is a point where an accurate reflect of value to the quality of the assets would be nice.
