I'd be hoping that it's the platform as an investment theme rather than software development. Having been in the situation where a healthcare company tried to turn their hand to software development to solve a problem / exploit an opportunity by developing their own bespoke solution rather than purchase an off the shelf solution which is developed and supported by a specialised partner I'd hope that IFT had the common sense to say "we are not a software development company, we are a company that helps to find synergies to enable growth" and not supported the investment in software development.
Still excited to see where the investment in this space goes. Feels like they've been able to get the growth relatively cheaply especially considering they've been able to lock in key senior talent through co-investment.
