Stating on page 27 that 'retail recovery underway at somewhat slower pace' doesn't give much of an idea as to how it's going, given that retail sales (by volume) are shown on page 10 as declining by 6.6 per cent during FY 22.
Elsewhere there's mention of 'lower foot traffic adversely affecting demand for roast chicken'. One would think that this situation has improved as Australia moves to what the population, if not the more alarmist in the medical establishment, consider as the 'post-COVID-19 environment'.
It'd be good to know how much staff absenteeism and vacant positions (given the allegedly tight labour market) is affecting production. Is this worst in Victoria at the Thomastown ING site?
