    Several years ago the ABS reduced the weighting of food in the index. Apparently, food is not such a factor as it once was- third world problem maybe. Food is also stripped out from 'core' inflation.

    If I understand it then, one of the issues for ING and the sector was that there had been an over supply- suppliers deflocked- now they have problems, and the wait, in restocking breeders? Would any of this overlap the global problem with egg production- that as the world goes to free range- chooks lay less eggs? Would that apply to breeders too? Or are the egg and chicken sectors so completely different?
