I tend to agree...if you link it to this statement:

"Mr Carrick noted, “I have been associated with BrainChip for
quite some time and am excited to join the board of directors
and work with the board and management as the Company

BUT...not willing to put any money where his mouth is....a bit disappointing in my opinion. Quote - Mr Tech Laden

Mr Tech Laden..........sorry but I disagree with you.

I actually prefer that he does not have any financial benefit to be derived from BRN. Keeps him totally neutral and non biased. A very good position for someone who will be dealing with the mergers side of BRN business.
Since he has no "investment" gain from BRN (as of yet) his presence is most notable and shows his belief in BRN & its future success as well he would not want to be around a company that is "not" successful or a "failure" which would not do his career standing any good!
This last part would go for most of the upper management really, they would want to be involved with a successful company and not a fizzer!
They have a strong & intimate belief in BRN or would not be here.
