I tend to agree. It's not the amount but the appearances. It is also, in my view, a matter of how many "small things " go by and how often they occur. Behavioural patterns mean more than one off incidents and Alexium doesn't exactly have a pattern of exemplary behaviour.

Moreover directors are not meant to use their position to advantage themselves so there seems to be something a bit borderline about the price differential.

As you say it would have been a small thing for the show of faith to have been demonstrated by purchasing at market prices or on the same terms as other shareholders.
