The man who warned Judgement Day would come at the weekend says his prophecy was off by five months and will in fact come on October 21.

The independent Christian radio host Harold Camping emerged for the first time since the 'Rapture' he predicted to occur on May 21.

Mr Camping told the San Francisco Chronicle he was "flabbergasted" that the world did not end on Saturday and had been taking refuge in a motel with his wife.

"I'm looking for answers," he said.
