Outstanding Shorts are currently only 0.17% of the total shares which is tiny so there will not be a short squeeze later this year.
You also can't just add daily gross shorts to the number as the daily figure is "gross" and not "net"shorts.
You could have gross daily shorts being 500,000 but if 490,000 shorts were covered in the same day the net increase would only be 10,000 which means the daily gross short number doesn't really mean anything as they don't report the shorts covered each day.
