re: Ann: Initial Response to NHC Proposal to ... That was a predictable response from the dartboard and New Hope would have expected it. They would only get the control they wish if they can present a strong case to the other 84% of shareholders.
So what are they up to?
Dart (and HC posters) seem to have it nailed - an opportunistic attempt to gain control of the company without paying for it.
They've already demonstrated considerable interest in Dart's future by buying up 32 million shares above what they already had. No doubt they would be taking up their entitlement under the rights offer - another 15.7 mill shares.
This was only the preliminary round to something - a shot across Dart's bow.
Where will they go from here?
What is their next move likely to be?
