That may be bizarre Johny.  Did you not read the news?  Put the horse before the cart.

In the old days, my motto, if you are going to panic, panic first, saved me a lot of money - but these days with so many retired punters dialled into the news, it no longer holds true all the time.  Also in those days you could often bet on drill core and exploration programs all day long until the predictable results spike.  These days good results are often completely bought up before the samples are even at the labs.  Arguably it is now a better strategy to bet on what the speculators will do and not worry about the fundamentals of the exploration programs at all.
