For those interested how the coal sector on the ASX is going, this list (see below) includes all the ASX listed companies with the word "coal" in their business name. Unfortunately I don't know of a "Coal Index" as such for ASX listed companies.
I did however find a Dow Jones Coal Index and a FTSE/JSE Coal Index which will allow us to monitor global investor sentiment regarding coal companies (fingers crossed the HC "link" function works);
