That’s always the case. The hard record date is there to prevent a flood of retail falling over themselves to get a slice of that discount arbitrage.
Instos will always get looked after ahead of retail. They are the ones with the deep pockets and funding. Us retail plebs should just care about our own portfolio rather than being envious
