Ann: Institutional Placement raises $30m and SPP commences, page-210

I am not a regular HC poster at all and like everyone else has lost money with ASM. BUT with my limited understanding it seems to me that this CR at $1.73 will help the smaller investors reduce their average cost, and possibly stuff up the shorters. My understanding is that there are 2-3 big shorters that stand to lose a lot with this Board strategy. Maybe the Board are trying to root them out?

And can someone tell me if there are any other already built and commissioned processing plants for rare earths around the place?
Isn't it a new advanced technology they have developed, so other producers will quite possibly want to use it?
