I am researching ASM now and finding lot of vogue language as per
@Watchfulbull comments. I actually tried to respond earlier and not sure where my post went.
ASM Q report states they did not issue Notice to Proceed to HEC and have met multiple times to enable a seamless kick-off once that notice is issued. What that means to me is there are some issues there and ASM and HEC are trying to resolve. I am not sure why some people are saying Dubbo is on track then.
What I also noticed is that during the early days ASM bragged a lot how efficient the process is and was claiming some impressive numbers in energy saving terms. But when I look at latest presos and announcements I can't see such claims. This could mean the process is not as efficient when scales up. Just assuming and speculating but when the management is not producing clear numbers one is left to assume and speculate.
Last, almost everyone assumes Ian G is buying because he has full confidence in ASM. Well, here is another just as possible reason - what if Ian is trying to average down as he (correct me if I am wrong) bought into the last CR at $4.80 and is no down on his investment. So he is looking for an exit strategy. I am not saying this is the case but it could be.
If he was so savvy why did not push ASM to do CR when ASM traded at around $12, raise $150m then and secure all the funding they would ever need. Same for ALK, why didn't ALK do CR when they traded around $1.15 and have all the funds they need for the expansion of Tomie? Where was the genius Chairman to say this is the time..
I am still reading so I may change my view but right now I see this as the roaring 20s stock.
