PROPOSED COLOSTAT TEST



What I don't understand is that in the FIT, one takes a sample from their stool, it goes to the LAB and if positive then colonoscopy

With COLOSTAT it is a simple blood draw/test, it has to go to the RHY affiliated Pathology LAB (interesting?) then it is diagnosed for assessment by the GP.

What I have never understood is that why isn't there the COLONOSCOPY in the diagram for when there is a POSITIVE result when using COLOSTAT?

I understand you discuss with doctor as you would with a positive FIT but surely a positive result with COLOSTAT from AA to stage 4 still requires a COLONOSCOPY.

And we still don't know how much better COLOSTAT is in detecting AA compared to the NBCSP's Home Test Kit and NOT the market standard.(the market standard is not the Kit that is sent to 50-74 in the mail).

Have I misunderstood all of this from the beginning?

Why isn't COLONOSCOPY in the pictorials/presentations for COLOSTAT?
