I didn't attend any meeting on the presentation and as you seem quite confident in your comments and your first post on PET was the same day, a gather you might of been there so we shouldn't discount your comments. Are you prepared to say wethet you attended or not? You seem to has a idea on cost of new factory, how many fundies attended and keen on a placement. My thoughts on your comments.
if a new factory cost you have heard as 6 m then given the cost of setting up the current factory about 1.5m plus upgrades and then add more for a 2nd and 3rd line I would say that would be under the 6m figure so if you are right the new factory sounds as if bigger than current one so that sounds very promising.
on a placement, personally I would love to hear a placement being made as that should mean more large contacts, but I can't understand doing a placement for no reason, you say they don't need the funds. Management would look silly doing a placement if they don't need the funds, how can they claim good net cash flow and raise funds at the same time unless a good reason. People have mentioned funds for a factory but in the past the company has mentioned buying other businesses or a mineral deposit so I wonder if some thing like that might be on the cards?
If a placement is going to happen I hope a spp is not included, I know people will disagree, but we all have a resent chance of picking up cheap shares lower that any spp price and with spp most times the sp stays around that price for a month. Quite often when a spp happens you can buy the shares on market for around the same price anyway. Quite a few of us have had intrest in another company going though a spp now, you can buy the shares cheaper than the spp price, waste of time applying for the spp and then can make it look as if current holders not supporting them, you don't want a spp under subscribed.

Yes I attended. Management said they didn't need capital, however, they will raise capital. This is George's model (MD of Petra Capital) - why else would management be meeting with A LOT of instos over the next couple of weeks? Petra will tell PET that they need strong instos, you want to raise money when you don't need it to reduce dilution, etc.

Remember these are my thoughts only. If they do a CR, a SPP won't be included as they don't need the cash but will want more insto investors. When the CR comes out, they will claim they have heaps of work (which they do) and it will provide funding certainty (which it will). Brokers don't take management around the world for no reason......
