"Alleged" disruptive tech. At the moment, it's just an idea with upside potential, but until it actually disruptive, it's just a dream. AP haven't done another demo since proof-of-concept, surely they must have advanced the technology significantly since then to give the market an update of how their work is progressing.
There's no trade secrets that could be stolen from showing a chip in a rig, playing some tunes.
Again, once they have the MEMS device working, I still think there's a lot of other forms of integration that need to be done. It's not just going to be plug-and-play, and it certainly won't be scaleable from the get-go. I think the first iteration will be one chip, stand-alone, and then the next generations of that chip would introduce scaleability and other functions that are spouted to be the key benefit of the AP chip.
But what do I know I'm just a pessimist.
