So,
what is Xped offering that manufacturers may find attractive?

1. Tap to register using NFC. Probably the biggest selling point, because it is end-user facing.
2. RML files – carrying the full device description and functionality, using a simple language which anybody can write, and can be tailored simply by the manufacturer.
3. A system that does not rely on an internet connection to operate – more advantages to this than I want to list here ...
4. Full IoT functionality with no reduced functionality compared to the standard systems, but a whole load of advantages.
5. A far more flexible system with respect to gateways, personal area networks and ease of use of various protocols.

That’s just the blunt points – there are a million subtleties to the technology which makes it more attractive than anything else out there.

I’m not sure that we should be paying the sales team too much – they won’t have to work too hard to sell it.
