To suggest that it is only a Victorian problem is just totally wrong. The whole sector has massive problems that are endemic, they have just been exacerbated by the Covid19 pandemic. Had there been an outbreak of the same magnitude in any other state they would be facing the same problems as aged care facilities in Victoria. The regulation of aged care is a Federal responsibility as we all know, the Royal Commission into the sector has found negligence across the system in all states.
