Yes the insto will loan out shares for short sellers. It was one of the complaints I had in December that we might see large short selling interest. Short sellers need access to shares to sell and the majority of retail and mom and pop shareholders do not lend their shares for short selling. The 20 Million placement opened the opportunity for short sellers to borrow shares to sell. The short sellers will often post unsubstantiated rumours like results are bad or historical data is poor etc etc which is why shareholders tend to dislike short sellers.
