On the face of it, its a smart move, allows NMT to concentrate on the primary opportunity, battery recycle.

No wonder they released Mt Edwards resource 'upgrade' announcements previous days.

We need see more details, and the demerger is a ways off, but at least 2 reasons to be bullish NMT SP IMHO.
1) NMT (Chris) can concentrate on core opportunity (battery recycling). Makes me think might see announcement on this front as well soon, seems to be their style (supportive news post changes).
2) Get 'free' shares in mining asset spin off. We all know that nickel is going to see solid demand in the future, so great asset to own.

Devil will be in the valuations and the impact on MC of NMT ex Widgie Nickel. I expect between now and when we know this, knowing Chris's style, there may well be deals and announcements on the battery business to increase the MC of NMT.

Bottom line, there may well be some jockying of SP as people try to figure this out, but I would buy any dip. DYOR + GLTAH.
