Kmart really have nailed there product selection and dominated the sector, we need to be lifting our game to compete well, this needs to happen before BigW and Target finally get it right.Word has been going around for a while through Target that if they don't improve soon it will just be folded into Kmart, ie; the whole chain will be handed over to Kmart to say "make it work or shut it down", not sure why it hasn't happened yet but many behind the scenes believe this is a done deal. (no inside information here)
Would be a big increase to Kmarts store footprint, having said that it may actually be a positive to TRS and the entire sector to get rid of one of the poor performers as there is room for 2-3 successful players in the industry.
Ps: perhaps TRS need to either kidnap or assassinate Kmarts purchasing team? We NEED to be one of those 3 successful players!
