How much profit do you think billionaire Raphael Geminder thinks he can make out of taking over TRS?
He puts up around $78 million plus a few million expenses so he must expect at least 25% and hopefully (for him) 50%. His Pact group is not going so great at the moment, so why would he want to take on a retailer who he lists in the takeover offer as having a risk for shareholders, namely:
"the possibility that trading at TRS stores continues to be adversely impacted by the challengingconsumer environment and competition from other retailers."
If that's a risk for the current shareholders, surely the risk will be the same for him.. I think he sees a substantial profit at his offer price
